The Council serves to strengthen local PTAs, support new PTAs, develop leadership potential, promote advocacy and to serve the community and its children.

PTA PURPOSE

To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.

To raise the standards of home life.

To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.

To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.

To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.

Hi there! As a Council, we are very excited about this year, and we can’t wait to work with you and your entire team. We look forward to helping you grow and enhancing your leadership skills as you gain more knowledge of PTA, Council, and of each other.

Whatever your concerns or questions may be, we are here to help you. We are committed to you by helping you PTA and make every child’s potential a reality at your school and throughout the SBISD community.

Council leaders would love to hear from you. Let us know about your successes, invite us to your local events, and take advantage of our training. Whatever the need, we are here to help you succeed.
